April 19, 2007 ![]() THE ROCK & ROLL KID NOMINATED FOR BEST ARTS DOCUMENTARY AT YORKTON SHORT FILM FESTIVALFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 19, 2007Force Four Entertainment and Mars Entertainment are very pleased to announce that their documentary THE ROCK & ROLL KID has been nominated for a Golden Sheaf Award at the 60th Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival in the Best Arts and Culture Category. Award winners will be announced at the Golden Sheaf Awards Presentation, on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton, SK. THE ROCK & ROLL KID is a one hour documentary that follows 11 year old guitar prodigy Danny Sveinson and his family as they try to break in to the adult world of professional rock & roll. The film had it’s broadcast premiere on the CBC Newsworld series “THE LENS” last fall, and it’s world festival premiere at the 2006 Vancouver International Film Festival where it screened to sold out audiences. The film will broadcast again on CBC Newsworld this June. The film will also be broadcast on the Sundance Channel later this summer, and on Knowledge Network later this year.
